HEAT advocated at the City Council meeting to pass a zoning ordinance which will stop the spread of new tobacco retailers in Anderson and limit tobacco advertising. the ordinance passed unanimously.
At community events, HEAT engaged children and teens in conversations about the harms of vaping, including what can be found in vape products. Young people were then invited to sign a pledge to remain tobacco-free.
